What shall your end be? Part 1

Have you taken the time recently to look at your life, the way that you are living and determine according to what you know and see what your end will be?

You may say “Well, none of us really know what the future holds so how then can we know what our end will be? The truth is God has paved the way for us to determine just how our end will be. He did this when He sent His son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for our sins.

If Jesus did not die and rose again then we would all have a fatal end, one without God and one without hope. Because Jesus Christ paid the price when he made the sacrifice and died for our sins, we can choose to have a glorious end by accepting Jesus Christ into our lives, living holy and spending eternity with Him.

We are the ones who choose what our end will be. God does not force Himself on us, he has given us a free will. He has given us his Word and His Holy Spirit to guide us and lead us into the path of truth.

These are serious times. Judgment has begun in the house of the Lord. God is calling us first in the body of Christ to live holy lives. “Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.” 1 Peter 1:16 This is not the hour to ‘play church’ nor to pretend to be a Christian. “Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. “And, let everyone that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.”

2 Timothy 2:19 God already knows who are His, who are walking in His will and according to His Word. Saints of God, we can no longer afford to be in church but not in God.

No matter how much we may preach, teach the Word of God, no matter how many Sundays we attend church or how much we give to the work of the Lord, if our hearts are not right with God and we do not repent earnestly before God, our end could be fatal. What shall your end be?

Light and darkness do not go together. When light comes in darkness has to go. It does not matter what position you hold in the church you attend, God is saying unto all of us to take introspection and examine ourselves in light of the Word of God. “Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness.” St. Luke 11:35

A religious spirit is rampant in our land, deceiving many into thinking that once they go to church and do good deeds in the church, sing on the choir, have a leadership role, they can walk in the flesh and walk in darkness and still be on their way to heaven. You may be able to fool man, but you cannot fool God. What shall your end be?

If you are slandering, gossiping, committing adultery, fornication, backbiting, proud, hypocritical, indulged in witchcraft, judgmental, being a Judas or a Haman, walking in unforgiveness, bitterness, jealousy, anger, envy or walking in any other form of darkness and feel comfortable in your sin because you have a leadership role in church, my encouragement to you is to repent.

It is one thing when judgment is initiated by man but it is a whole other story when judgment is initiated by God. What shall your end be?

God does not slumber, and He does not sleep and he is not unjust. His judgment is guaranteed to be fair. But if you are truly in Christ and living a righteous and holy life no need to fear the judgment of God, for once you remain on the straight and narrow road it will lead you to a life of eternity with Jesus Christ.

Why take a chance with your soul? None of us know about the next second, minute, hour, or day. In Psalm 19 it warns against presumptuous sins. “Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.” Psalm 19:13

If you know something is wrong and it is evil, do not do it. If you know that you are sinning and pretending to be righteous, now is the time to repent. Escape the judgment of God by walking holy and walking in Jesus Christ who is the light.

Do not allow the devil to use you as a tool to build up his kingdom of darkness for when pay day comes not only will you reap what you have sown but it will be multiplied many times over in sorrow, trials, pain and sometimes death.

The devil’s agenda is summed up in the words of St. John 10:10a “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.”

Jesus Christ loves you today and He wants you to spend your end with Him. He wants you to have life. “I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” What shall your end be? Continued in next devotional

SINNER’S PRAYER

If you don’t know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and would like to accept Him today, please say the following prayer.

Dear God,

In the name of Jesus Christ, I acknowledge that I am a sinner and that I need a Savior. Forgive me of all my sins and cleanse me from all unrighteousness.

Your Word says in Romans 10:9 and 10 that if I confess with my mouth the Lord Jesus Christ and believe in my heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, I shall be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

I now confess Jesus Christ as Lord of my life. In Jesus’ Name, amen.
